I feel I’m not alone when I say the last month or even two have stirred up lots of different emotion a desired change perhaps and feelings that something is a-miss in life. Can you relate?
I want to let you know that within this process of change and feeling as though there is something that needs to be brought into reality and worked through, the first step you need to do is nurture yourself. Yup, give yourself some love and compassion, surround yourself in an environment that makes you feel special—perhaps having beautiful candles or incense burning or a spray of fresh flowers to brighten up a room. By nurturing ourselves we are more inclined to feel safe, allowing us to lean into the challenge at hand and our deepest knowing that a change is needed either within yourself or an area in your life.
Step 2 is to Let.It.Out. This can be in the form of talking to someone you trust, or chatting out loud to yourself, God or the Universe. One way that works best for me is journaling. When we let it out in either of these forms we are releasing it and accepting its reality and the importance we have placed upon it. Yes, this can be scary, which is why step 1 is so important.
I know change can bring up fear and resistance, however if we look at it from the angle of coming back into alignment with our truth. By doing this it gives us the opportunity to honour every part of our self and life, we build up our self-worth and compassion and move into a space of joy, ease and flow.
Two questions to ask yourself to begin this process:
What is it you need to shed, change or let go of?
Where could you nurture yourself more in order for you to feel safer to create the changes you so need and desire?
