You gotta start from somewhere....

Since my last blog post I took a leap—a planned one, but it was a big leap for me and was something I had been working on for a couple of months.

Two weekends ago I hosted my first workshop, which I called ‘An Embodied Afternoon.’ It was a small intimate group of beautiful women—who I guided through a meditation and then delved into a heart opening values exercise. This was followed by a little session on wellness and embodied practices, the importance of creating space in our day to just be with ourselves to reflect, review and evaluate the truth that resides within. Oh and of course, some yummy (if I do say so myself) wholesome food was shared and enjoyed amongst us all.

My intention for the afternoon was to create a safe and nurturing space where women could come together and just be, feel supported and nourished within their Mind, Body and Spirit. The reason I felt the call to write about it here is because, although I took inspired action it was far from a perfect workshop. And guess what?......That is more than okay!

I was super nervous, my cheeks were bright red and my heart was racing. But, aside from all that I knew it was something I had to do. I knew in order for me to keep moving forward, I needed to step into my vision to honour myself and what I believe in.

Stepping outside of our comfort zone and making ourselves be seen and heard is scary, and our Mafia mind can be incredibly fierce. But, if we don’t take that step and begin from somewhere then we are choosing to let fear rule our life—we are investing in the fear more than our vision, our dreams and our desires.

I invite you to set aside some time to check-in with yourself—where might you be investing in fear more than your true passions and life desires? Lean into the fear, allow it to flow through you, feel it and shine light on it and even write about it in your journal. You are not your fear my lovely, you are separate from fear, and I know it is NOT what your long to invest in. When we allow this awareness to come forth, we help clear the paralysis of fear and come back into alignment with our truth, and are more able to live in accordance with our deepest passions and purpose.

Once we make that conscious choice to take that first step and action our vision/idea, it's from here we learn and grow and fear will soon take a back seat.

     High-Vibe Bliss Balls.   Dry ingredients  1 tsp. cacao powder  1 cup Almond meal  or  Hazelnut meal (for nut allergies substitute with sunflower seed flour)  ¼ cup Linseeds  ¼ cup Sunflower seeds  ¼ Pepitas  1/3 cup of a mix of (bee pollen, buckinis, cacao nibs & gogi berries)  ½ tsp. Maca powder  Pinch of salt  1 tsp. Cinnamon    Mix all ingredients in a blender until well combined.     Wet ingredients    ¼ cup Tahini  ¼ Rice Malt Syrup or Raw Honey or Maple Syrup  Dash of water (to help combine)   Add wet ingredients to dry and mix in blender.    Roll into balls and store in a glass container in the fridge or freezer.
